Mr. Shoemaker earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont as a double major in political science and U.S. History. He received his Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University, where he served as an Editor for the Rutgers Law Journal. After graduation he served as the Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Donald A. Smith, Jr., then Presiding Civil Judge for Vicinage 15 (Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem).
He is a Past President of the Gloucester County Bar Association and Chair of the County Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee and currently serves as a Bar Trustee. In addition, he is a Member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and a delegate to the State Bar Association General Council.
Mr. Shoemaker is admitted to practice before all NJ State Courts as well as the Federal District Court for the State of New Jersey and the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals. His practice focuses upon litigation in the areas of personal injury, construction law, insurance law, environmental law, consumer protection, and probate disputes. HIs areas of specialty further include residential and commercial real estate transactions, land use applications, estate planning, complex dispute resolution, and municipal law.
